The region enjoys a pleasant, exceptionally mild micro climate all year round. The locals make their living mainly from viticulture and tourism.
If you travel to Cormons then Monte Quarin will immediately catch your eye, which rises up like a fortress. The highest point is home to the church, Beata Vergine del Soccorso. Ruins from the Roman and Habsburg eras bear witness to the once historic importance of this dreary town.
